Plinth Company – The story so far… Originally formed as “The Plinth Co. Ltd” in 1988 by Martin Creasey MCSP following the sales of his previous two treatment couch companies, Akron Therapy Products (now HNE Akron) and Rehab Products (now not trading). Martin’s extensive experience manufacturing couches coupled with his physiotherapy training meant that the ‘Plinth’ range proved to be simple, strong, practical and reliable. Word spread and the company soon grew into a market leader. Following a total loss fire in March 2000, the Company was re-established as “Plinth 2000 Ltd” under Niall Dyer the new MD who had been working with Martin for the previous 10 years, Martin stayed with ‘Plinth’ in a consultancy role. The company moved into new purpose built premises building on its founding traditions, resulting in steady growth and the majority of the Company’s business coming by personal recommendation. We thank God for our success recovering from such a catastrophe and look forward to an exciting future in partnership with our customers.
